Daniel D. O’Neill
President and Chief Investment Officer

As the President and Chief Investment Officer, Dan is responsible for all investment management and trading operations. He joined Direxion in 1999 and plays a leading role in the development and launch of new products and value added services for advisors and investors. He is a member of the Direxion Executive Management Committee.

Prior to joining Direxion Funds, he served as Portfolio Manager: Private Equity Investments at Hermitage Capital Management Limited in Moscow, Russia. His responsibilities included monitoring investments by two hedge funds in illiquid Russian equities.

Dan earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board for Virginia Law Review. He holds a BA in English and Economics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he was a Jefferson Scholar.

Andy O'Rourke
Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer at Direxion Funds, Andy leads all marketing efforts focusing on building brand and product awareness within the investment advisor community.

Prior to joining Direxion Funds, Andy was the Director of Distribution Marketing for MassMutual Financial Group's Retirement Services division. Andy has also been employed by State Street Bank, Fidelity Investments, and Emplanet Retirement Services, in various relationship management, product development, and strategic marketing positions.

Andy is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has earned a Masters of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.

Edward Egilinsky
Managing Director, Alternative Investments

As head of Alternative Investments at Direxion, Ed’s focus is to drive the firm's product development initiatives, internal and external product messaging, training and support of product delivery.

Prior to joining Direxion, Ed served as Managing Director of Business Development at Price Asset Management where his focus was on expanding the company's distribution network and diversifying its product line.

Ed was also Managing Director and head of Alternative Strategies at Rydex Investments where he provided leadership to the sales team for alternative strategy initiatives, expanded distribution channels, and effectively branded Rydex as a well recognized provider of alternative investment.

Earlier in his career, Ed was Head of US Sales and Marketing for Kenmar Advisory Corporation where he drove domestic asset growth among high net worth and institutional clients.

Ed graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the State University of Albany in New York. He also holds Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 Licenses.

John Cadigan
Managing Director, National Sales

As the Managing Director - National Sales Manager, John is responsible for developing and leading the internal and external alternative strategy sales initiative through the wealth management community.

John has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry in various capacities including creating and implementing strategic corporate initiatives as well as building effective sales distribution teams for both traditional and alternative asset. John and his team's have a history of assisting boutique asset management firms in showcasing their competencies in a crowded industry.

Prior to joining Direxion John's career tenure included Putnam, Fidelity and Rydex/SGI. At Rydex John was instrumental in contributing to Rydex's early entrance into the alternative strategy space. As a founding member of the Rydex/SGI broker-dealer distribution initiative, John recruited and lead the firms sales efforts to establish Rydex a provider of alternative investments. His team distinguished themselves in the industry with their ability to educate both advisors and their clients on the benefits of low/non correlating strategies that offer true diversification and the ability to better manage risk.

John is a recognized expert in alternative investing space and has been a featured speaker at national and regional events, major wealth management firms, and industry conferences. He is often quoted in various media outlets such as Ignites, Fund fire, Kiplinger, Dow Jones and others. Most recently he shared the stage with Harry Markowitz at an industry event discussing the merits of risk management.
